Paulette Nevarez (she/her/ella) is a proud Latina raised in San Luis, Arizona. She loves to travel and learn more about the culture and history of the places she visits. Paulette enjoys spending time with her family and friends when she has the opportunity to go back home and eat at her favorite childhood restaurants. Paulette hopes to keep volunteering with organizations throughout Pima County and keep giving back to the community that accepted her with open arms when she moved to Tucson. She currently serves as the Graduate Assistant for the Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Initiatives at the University of Arizona. She worked in Public Health for the past two years providing resources to migrants and working to improve border health through a non-profit organization. Paulette is now working on her Masters in Public Health (MPH) at the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. She hopes to further her education and become a Physician Assistant after completing her MPH. Paulette wants to keep working in border communities to improve rural health along with other organizations.
