Cindy Trejo, PhD

Dr. Trejo’s nearly three-decade career in education has consistently focused on improving family and student outcomes in public health, K-12, and higher education.  She has served in various roles, including public health education specialist, community liaison, educational grant specialist, director for the Arizona Department of Education. She transitioned to higher education four years ago as the grant writer for HSI Initiatives and now serves as the Title V Director of a grant she co-wrote, Project Outreach FAMILIA (Forwarding Academic Mechanisms Integral to Learning In the Academy). She and her team envision transforming college outreach in partnerships with local high schools at the University of Arizona.
