Hispanic Hearing Healthcare Access Coalition (H3 Coalition)
A partnership across Arizona and Florida, the Hispanic Hearing Healthcare Access Coalition (H3 Coalition) identifies priorities for research on hearing interventions for Hispanic/Latinx adults over 50 years of age. Faculty at the University of Arizona and the University of Miami, along with local community health centers were inspired to raise awareness around the needs for patients with hearing loss and increased communication challenges related to COVID-19 social distancing and PPE requirements. Two articles were recently published in The Conversation by the H3 Coalition, along with a video demonstrating hearing loss simulation and face masks.
