UA HSI Ambassadors

UA HSI Ambassadors is aimed at cultivating an informed network of faculty, staff, and graduate students who can quickly and intentionally mobilize to connect our campus and local community to HSI-related opportunities. Throughout the year, HSI Initiatives receives notifications about scholarships, internships, research experiences, fellowships, employment, travel awards, conferences, leadership programs, professional development, award nominations, funding opportunities, volunteer requests, and more. There’s nothing more powerful than receiving an encouraging tap on the shoulder by a peer, faculty, or staff to help affirm that these opportunities are meant for UA students, staff, and faculty. We could all use more encouragers! Below you will find the commitment and compensation information for UA HSI Ambassadors. We are excited to receive your application!

HSI Ambassadors will:

  • Intentionally circulate these opportunities to students, faculty, staff, and the community (e.g., email, social media, listservs, presenting at meetings, etc.)
  • Support others in applying for these opportunities and consider applying themselves
  • Spring into action when we receive quick turnaround requests for opportunities
  • Distribute information regarding events hosted by HSI Initiatives
  • Present on HSI Initiatives at a department, college, student organization, affinity group, and/or community meetings
  • Offer guidance to HSI Initiatives on strategies and opportunities to optimize its reach and impact

HSI Initiatives seeks to build an informed and supportive community and encourages participation across a broad cross section of the UA, including UA’s Near You Network and Arizona Online.
