Past Programs
Tohono O'odham Food Workshop
THURSDAY, SEPT. 26 | 11:00 AM
In collaboration with Native SOAR and Native American Student Affairs (NASA), we hosted an immersive Indigenous food workshop led by cultural practitioners Tanisha Tucker and Maria Francisco. The workshop provided opportunities to learn about the traditional cuisine of the Tohono O’odham Nation and enjoy tasting these delicious, culturally significant dishes!
Mission Garden
SATURDAY, MAR. 30 | 8 AM - 12 PM
We went on a guided tour and service learning project at Mission Garden, a 'living' museum at the foot of Sentinel Peak ('A' Mountain), to learn more about how they preserve the unique agricultural history of Tucson and grow heritage crops local to the community.
