CIELO SPRING BREAK IN HAWAI'I
DESCRIPTION
Ancient Hawaiians developed a very intimate relationship with their natural setting, characterized by a deep love, respect, and knowledge of the environment. Explore how Hawaii’s remote location, tropical climate, and diverse climactic zones create a unique setting unduplicated elsewhere. Hear the history and legends of the islands while engaging in service projects that benefit the environment and preservation of our unique culture.
The ASB Hawai'i program provides students from the University of Arizona with an intimate cross-cultural immersion experience on the island of O'ahu. Participants will engage with Native Hawaiian history, culture, and the struggle for sovereignty through service learning, community/cultural engagement, dialogue, and reflection.
