CIELO JAPAN: PEOPLE, HISTORY, & CULTURE

Description

The CIELO Japan: People, History, and Culture program offers a dynamic blend of Tokyo's vibrant energy and the tranquil beauty of the Hokkaido region, creating a comprehensive experience that weaves together travel, service learning, and immersive activities. Students will not only indulge in Japan's exquisite cuisine and explore its unique pop culture but will also engage in meaningful cross-cultural exchanges that foster empathy and broaden their global perspectives. A key component of this program is the education and exchange with the Ainu people, Japan’s indigenous community, where participants will engage in purposeful social interactions and curated excursions, deepening their understanding of Japan's rich history, diverse people, and complex culture.
