CIELO FACULTY/STAFF FACILITATORS

CIELO faculty/staff facilitators are selected from across campus to attend CIELO programs and assist in guiding students through the transformative global experiences our programs offer. As a facilitator, you will strengthen your experiential learning skills while empowering students to dive into hands-on opportunities that ignite curiosity, foster personal growth, and build career-ready skills for future success. 

The responsibilities of facilitators include, but are not limited to: 

•    Model Engagement: As a facilitator, you are a participant in the program; please prepare to be engaged in all activities with students, faculty, staff, and on-site facilitators throughout the day.
•    Assist with pre-departure preparations, including but not limited to leading orientation sessions. 
•    Attend a facilitator training (Date and time to be determined).
•    Send quick reminder messages to the students daily.
•    Review students’ daily journal reflections.
•    Conduct daily check-ins with student participants. 
•    Lead daily debrief sessions both in small and large group settings. Facilitators are also responsible for developing the daily debrief questions. 
•    Complete the facilitator's daily reflection, which the CIELO program lead will review.
•    Other responsibilities as assigned.
